The latest decor for Prince William and Kate Middleton’s living room at Kensington Palace has been revealed.

Royal fans were given a peek of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s cosy, colourful interior design during a visit on Saturday by New Zealand’s prime minister to their London home.

In an official picture released of their meeting – showing Jacinda Ardern smiling while deep in conversation with the prince – the pair sit on comfy cream sofas with embroidered scatter cushions.

There is an octagonal ottoman featuring a striking floral print in the foreground, which appears to have been upholstered since Barack Obama was pictured sitting in the same space in 2016.

On that occasion, the statement piece of furniture featured a cream and gold colour scheme, while the sofa was dressed up with plainer cushions.

In the background of both meetings appears to be the same gold side table, green curtains and printed rug.

However, in the latest shot royal fans can also see several colourful lampshades, ornate vases and a gold mirror.

Sharing a picture to Instagram from the room, Ardern explained that they had discussed a number of topics, including the upcoming Rugby Women’s World Cup.

It appears to be the first time the room has been pictured since the then-US president Obama dined at the palace along with his wife Michelle.

In addition to their Kensington Palace apartment, the Cambridges split their time between Anmer Hall in Norfolk near Sandringham, and a cottage on the Balmoral Estate.

However, it was last month reported by The Sunday Times that they are soon due to move into a property on the grounds of Windsor Castle in Berkshire.

The decision is said to be because of their school plans for their children Prince George, eight, Princess Charlotte, seven, and Prince Louis, four.
